Whoooaaaa!!!

Now I’m fully aware that we have chosen to build a large house, even by Mac-mansion standards, but I was nevertheless surprised to see this when I drove by our lot the other day:

I didn’t think we had a build big enough to justify a crane this size but I suppose how else are you going to lift a large girder into place?

I must admit that watching the crane was quite exciting. I felt like a little kid with his mouth open, unable to utter much beyond “whooooaaaaa!!!”

And then I remembered I’m a grown ass man and had to get back in the car to drive one of my boys to the dentist and I was already running late.

So I snapped a quick picture and got back on the road.

I was late in the end. But the short pit stop to look at the crane in action was worth it.
