A couple of weeks ago, the heavens opened up and it rained. And it rained. And it rained!
The rains were a blessing for Eastern Australia, replenishing our dams and putting out the bush fires that ravaged the land.
But for a nascent construction site that had barely begun, the rain caused all work to stop while we waited for the weather to clear. In all, we lost about two weeks to the much needed rain. I’m not complaining – I’d take the two week rain delay every time if it means that the fires are put out, we get clean air again, and we get our water supply topped up!
Fortunately for us, Eden Brae managed to complete the frame prior to rain. Fortunately for them, this meant that they had completed a key milestone which triggered a 25% payment to them.
Our house is coming along nicely as you can see below.
