While going on a walk around the neighbourhood to break up the monotony of COVID-19 enforced home isolation, I passed a nearby house that I had long admired.

Like our future home, this house has window mouldings and Juliet balconies.
What I noticed for the first time today though, was that this house too has a window reveal of exposed face brick. Did this owner also not factor in the reveal when choosing to get window mouldings?
What I did derive comfort from was that I never noticed the window reveals before.
If I never noticed the reveals previously and always thought it was a lovely house, then why should I get so worked up about my house?
Perhaps it’s a classic case of safety in numbers – all choices seem less risky if others choose it too.
